"I love caring for all kinds of pets. Traditional pets like dogs and cats are wonderful and so are birds and exotics. I have always been dedicated one hundred percent to helping people and their beloved animals." After working 5 years in private practice – including companion animals and exotics, she returned to academia to pursue an internship in avian, exotic and zoo animal medicine through Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, The Tulsa Zoo and Oklahoma City Zoo. Upon completion of the internship she moved to In October 2008, she returned to emergency medicine full time. Having plenty of experience with exotic species she is always happy to see any type of pet - from ferrits to finches. Please call first to find out if your pet can be seen at the clinic. Dr. Finkelstein lives with her husband Andy Ramirez, a scuba diving instructor who is a native Texan and their pets: a young Rottweiler named Sergeant, an older Cocker Spaniel named Bates, three cats: Al, Bess, and Casey, and 2 birds: Flame the Sun Conure and Jalapeño, a Quaker Parakeet. |
