Samantha K. Yeltatzie D.V.M.
Dr. Yeltatzie is from Rockport, Texas, a small coastal town north of Corpus Christi. Her love of the beach and fishing was developed as a teenager on the coast. After high-school, she went to school in San Antonio before transferring down to Kingsville. She graduated from Texas A&M-Kingsville Summa Cum Laude with her B.S. in Agriculture in 2001. Dr. Yeltatzie then decided to go to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York for her D.V.M degree. While at Cornell, Dr. Yeltatzie developed a strong interest in emergency medicine and working dogs. After veterinary school, Dr. Yeltatzie worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 6 months. She then moved to Aledo, Texas to join her husband and two dogs. Dr. Yeltatzie worked in emergency and critical care for 2 years at a high-quality and high volume emergency referral practice. Dr. Yeltatzie and her husband have 2 dogs, Willie, a yellow Labrador-able retriever and Mateo, a Hungarian Vizsla. Their dogs go everywhere they do, fishing in East Texas, to the family ranch, and down to the coast. Dr. Yeltatzie is excited to be back in San Antonio and a part of the I-10 Pet Emergency heath care team.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his children, playing basketball, and playing video games.

Leo Frias – Technical Services
Leo has worked as a veterinary technician for the past 13 years. For the past 4 years Leo has specialized as an emergency medicine and critical care technician. Leo loves to work with big dogs such as Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and Irish Wolfhounds. He takes great pride in working with complex cases and ensuring pets are comfortable during their care. In his spare time, he spends time with his two young children and plays basketball. Leo chose emergency medicine for the fast pace and critical challenges.

Brian Young – Technical Services
Brian got into veterinary medicine after attending The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his Bachelor Degree of Science in Biology. He started working for I-10 Pet Emergency in December of 07 and really enjoys the fast-paced atmosphere of emergency medicine, where you never know what will come through the door next. Brian plans to apply to veterinary school soon after acquiring enough experience in emergency medicine and large animal medicine. Outside of work he likes to play soccer, ride his road bike, and camp. He has one black lab named Dax, and several more at the house via roommates (one Jack Russell, one Jack Russell Pomeranian mix, and one Jack Lab!).

Kathleen Thomas – Veterinary Assistant
Kat has lived in San Antonio her whole life and graduated from Alamo Heights High School. She now lives in Floresville, but works and goes to school in San Antonio. She goes to school at the Palo Alto Veterinarian Technician Program; it is a two year program to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has 4 dogs and 3 cats, 2 of the dogs were rescues from a litter of 13 that were dropped off at a clinic she worked at before here. Her other dogs still live here in San Antonio with her parents and so do the two cats, who are also rescues from a little of kittens that a stray had on her front porch. Out at her house she has 2 hunting dogs that her family got for tracking and a stray that showed up at our door step when they moved into their new house in Floresville. Kat hopes to learn many things here to further my experience and be able to help with anything that comes my way either here or anywhere else I may go in my life.
